Description
The four bay linhay [now three bays] of one and a half storeys, with round pillars on north side. Roof half-hipped at each end. Thatch roof over rubble stone walls with some cob. On 1809-12 Holnicote Estate Map, but probably at least 18th century. Appears on all maps since then. Used as store/stockhouse at time of survey. Part of Stoates Farm (MNA138945). [1]
A 17th century thatched two storey linhay. This has lost one bay at the south end but is still a remarkable survival. [2]
Possibly C18 in date and restored in late C20. Red sandstone random rubble, partly cob at rear, weatherboarded infill, half hipped thatched roof. Two storeys, 3 bays; circular piers, weatherboarded infill, plank doors second and third bays left, roof swept over eyebrows to central loft door opening. Now stables with loft over. [3]
