Summary

A triangular tank training circuit, with each side 140m long, it is set on open moorland between East Myne Farm and Combeshead. Part of the tank trainging range on North and Bossington Hills.

Description

A triangular tank training circuit, with each side 140m long, it is set on open moorland between East Myne Farm and Combeshead.It is one of three on North Hill. The roadways were built up and up to 6m wide. It is associated with the target railway about 550m away, east of East Myne. This is part of the World War II tank training range. Condition: good. [1]

The tank circuit was visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and mapped as part of the Severn Estuary RCZAS mapping project (Source 2). Further information, sources and photograph references are available in the Exmoor National Park HER record MSO7678. [2-3]
