Description

the deserted farmstead of East Myne is set at the head of Grexy Combe, with the house on a south-facing slope. The remains of this building are recognisable with the chimney and oven still apparent. Opposite are remains of the threshing barn and other buildings. Immediately to the north of the site is a modern building still in use by the tenant of the land, Mr A Knight. The farm has not been tenanted since the early 20c. During World War II the site was part of tank training ranges on North Hill and was used for target practice.
