Description
A square room forming part of the south wing of the C4th house. The room has no interpretation or visible features although the presence of opus signinum flooring below the current levels has been suggested. The eastern extent of the room is unknown with exposed archaeology ending at the Yew hedge. [SNA62028]
The buried mosaic survey did not reveal any floor level in this room but recorded constructional make-up / levelling deposits. A layer of clay overlying the natural substarte is interpreted as a pre-existing soil horizon [SNA62068].
