Description
Glastonbury Tor, rising to over 150m. O.D. is the most prominent landmark of central Somerset. Its dramatically steep slopes and sculptured appearance, products of its geology and land-use, have given ride to much speculation about its origins, even attributed by some to supernatural agencies.
SNA69079 / ENA10099 Geophysical survey of Moneybox Field northeast of Glastonbury Tor at the foot of the slope. Nothing of obvious archaeological interest was detected, apart from some slight hints of cultivation and some linear fills.
