- SHEEP FOLD (Post Medieval - 1540 AD to 1900 AD)
Description
Located at the base of a rocky outcrop c.20m to the south of the tower (44246) at 130m OD. A roughly rectangular enclosure c.7m X 5m and with a single entrance to the south. The east side of the enclosure incorporates massive boulders and part of the outcrop it abuts. The walling to the NE stands to a height of c.1m while that to the south has partially collapsed.
