Summary

A small circular brick chamber measuring 1.3 by 2.5 metres covered with an iron coping serving as a collecting cistern for spring water. Probably 19th century. A small building described as a pump house is marked here on the 1921 Ordnance Survey map. Site:150282*0

Description

(1) A small brick chamber, this is probably the partially back filled remains of the well head. The material used and the siting of the building on the edge of the Grecian Valley suggest a late 19th or early 20th century date.
