Description
A small triangular piece of land on the northwest side of the Danes Cross-Killerton road, opposite the site of Deanes Old Cottage, shows a distinct platform with a scarp on the west side. An apple tree grows on the north side. The platform is about 11m x 9m, but it is under tree and scrub cover, with a large rotting root, and is difficult to measure. It must however be the site of a cottage or an outbuilding.
On the south side is a deep ditch, which connects under the road by the culvert described with the site of Deanes, the arch is exactly the same, formed of cut stone voussoirs.
