This page will contain more advanced search options than the simple free text box. It may include a way to search by property A-Z, like http://www.nationaltrustcollections.org.uk/collections-a-z/ and perhaps also by Regions/Counties.

May include searches by Period and Type, or combinations of these. e.g. it might be really simple to search for the following examples:

• Bronze Age Defensive sites from the North East region
• Prehistoric sites from Tyntesfield property
• Medieval Transport sites from all NT properties

These could be achieved with check-box lists of the main periods and the main thesaurus top terms.

We do not think more detailed searching is needed, as by definition searches of the NT records are a biased sample from an archaeological research perspective.
