Description

A cairn on Bossington Hill, overlooking the Bristol Channel, about 12m in diameter by 0.9m high.There is a dip in the centre, suggesting it has been dug into in (possibly) the 19th century. The cairn lies within a medieval/post-medieval field system. Condition: good. [1]

The Bronze Age burial cairn was visible on aerial photographs and mapped as part of the Severn Estuary RCZAS mapping project. Further information, sources and photograph references are available in the Exmoor National Park HER record MSO8021. [2]
