Description
a lime kiln survives at the entrance to the Burrowhayes Farm, with a quarry immediately to the west. The grid reference given in the NMR record (SS 8995 4616) is incorrect. The pot is filled in, the kiln is built against the rock, its stonework is in reasonable order but has suffered from neglect. The trees are generally being cut back to free the kiln and preserve it.[1]
