Summary
Slight earthwork of a building aligned N-S down a slight slope behind the nineteenth century barn. The building platform sits on the N edge of the small enclosure 154, and the N end of the building has been cut and destroyed as the barn was terraced into the hillside. The other sides of the building platform are quite distinct in the short grass. The length of the platform is 11m (how much was lost at the n end is no known), width about 6m. The walls are approximately 0.8 – 1m wide and about 0.2m high.
The building does not appear on the historic maps and almost certainly predates them. The location in the enclosure known as ‘Plot’ on the tithe is a sheltered position.
