Summary
Slightly terraced area on the N side of the removed field boundary 019. The feature survives as a noticeable level area on the NE facing slope with slight earthworks forming a shallow lip along the N side. The area is sub-rectangular, about 25 – 30m long and 7 – 8m wide with the S side formed by the line of the old fieldbank. The earthwork is more pronounced at the SE end as abroad shallow bank. At the NW end it fades out.
The date and function is unknown, but it is likely to be some form of sheepfold, or perhaps the platform for and enclosure for a temporary structure.
