Description
Scarp/break of slope aligned E-W through the small close used as an orchard immediately uphill from the house. The scarp abuts the E hedge, can be traced in long grass for about 60m W before fading out. It is about 1-1.5m high. On the 1946 aerial photographs the scarp formed the lower boundary of a vegetable plot. The feature is not shown on any of the historic maps, so is not clear whether it is part of an earlier boundary pattern subsumed within the close or simply a subdivision of it.
