Description
The OS 1912 25" map shows that the barn at Wind Hill (NTSMR 31583) originally extended further to the E to form a long c.E-W range, with the E end forming the house [1]. Also shown on all the historic maps of the area, from 1782 onwards [2]-[4]. In 1910 the house was described as being "very bad and since done away with" [5].
Site visit 12/07/2000:
Now replaced by a modern farmhouse (NTSMR 31582) [6].
