Description

A small cave entrance facing SW, located 10m above the lower footpath and near to Red Fescue Hole 89188. The archway entrance is 1.5m high and 0.6m wide. A partly grass covered frontal slope rises into the cave mouth as a stony clay blocking the passage within 2m. The sediment appears unexcavated but it has been burrowed into by small animals. The sediment is considered to have archaeological potential, especially due to its proximity to Red Fescue Hole, some shells and small animal bones are visible in the upcast from the burrowing.
