Description
The line of the workings exploited by (20118*41) is continued by another adit and spoilheap. The spoilheap is 7.8m by 11.7m on top and is mostly turf covered. It is 3.0m high and part of the front has collapsed into the adit below. There is a small mound on the corner of the heap, origin unknown, 7.0m by 4.9m and 0.6m high. The adit is angled but has a very uniform profile and measures 3.7m wide and 1.1m deep. On the northeast side of the adit, where it changes direction, is a triangular hollow, 4.1m across at its widest point and 0.3m deep (Lax, A. 1995).
