Description

A very distinctive building about 13 metres long, 7 metres wide, and 11 metres high. It is divided inside by a stone wall into two almost equal compartments, each having its own door on the south side. There is provision inside for about 1500 nesting boxes altogether, all built into the walls. It is built of limestone, with stepped gables, and a tiled roof in two tiers, the upper divided from the lower by the wooden louvres which afforded access for the pigeons.
