Description

Room 5a is the southernmost room of the west wing on the villa. It contains a hypocaust stoke-hole on the north wall and a small section of wall with herringbone bonding. No other features are known and the original floor level is unclearas current levels above the stoke hole may represent spoil dumps of earlier excavations. Rest of floor area was covered with grass a the time of the management gazetteer and the walls were capped with thick concrete slabs.[SNA62028]
