Description

Racquets Court, later squash court. Early C18th ashlar façade to C19th rendered brick building. Stone tiled roof. Building of four bays. Façade has central doorcase with ashlar architrave and eight-panel fielded door, and broken segmental pediment on console brackets. Central square urn and finial. Either side, 15-pane sash windows also with plain ashlar surrounds, and round headed opening over door, now without glazing. Gable raised at centre and shaped up to wooden octagonal bell turret with turned balusters to arches carrying lead covered domed roof. Interior has stair and balcony at entrance end.
