Description

Gate and gate piers. Piers pre-1724 and relocated. Gate probably C18th or C19th. Rubble sarsen piers with limestone cappings. Iron gates. Piers have tall conical tops ending in ball finials, probably those illustrated in Stukeley's engraving as being on the E access of the house. Gate has side sections and overthrow with crestings.
