Description

Walls and gate piers with gates. C18th and later. Walls of sarsen, with limestone piers and iron gates, forming rectangular enclosure paved with sarsen setts immediately E of former stables, now museum. Wall curves round to E and adjoins dovecote. N gates to yard rusticated, with cornice and urn finials. Second pair of gate piers on E side of yard, with concrete cornice and ball finials in acanthus cups. Wrought iron gates of c1982 with initials of Nevill-Glidden in overthrow. Dog rails with arrow terminals. Wall to dovecote approximately 1.2m high with limestone weathered copings.
