Description
The remains of an observation post in the enclosed land west of Henner’s Combe, there is a mound 10m diameter and 2m high of stone and concrete rubble.A concrete wall survives on the east and west sides. The site is associated with the tank training ranges of World War II that are spread along North Hill. Condition: good. [1]
The Second World War observation post or Target dugout was visible on aerial photographs and mapped as part of the Severn Estuary RCZAS mapping project. The mound surrounding the post was partially levelled by 1998 leaving a smaller mound that measures 14 metres by 10 metres and 2 metres high.
