Description
This shed was Christopher St. John’s (born Christabel Marshall) writing hut during the early decades of the 20th century. There she wrote political and social plays and stories, and would later wander over to the Priests' House where she lived with Edy Craig and Clare Atwood in a ménage a trois. Constructed post-1909.
A small (3m x 2m) timber clad building on a brick base. Shingled hipped roof with flaring skirts (vaguely pagoda-like in appearance). 2 glazed windows with wooden louvred sliding shutters in south and east walls. Doorway in south wall. Brick path to south.
Good condition – well maintained.
