Summary
Possible Bronze age round barrow located in a broad expanse of open pasture 35m SE of a reservoir on Combe Hill, E of the farmhouse. The feature is a distinct round hump about 10m in diameter and 31m circumference. There is a slightly thicker, darker patch of grass on the top, that may represent an old robbers’ pit. The mound is only slightly higher than the surrounding ground as this whole area has been ploughed and improved from open moorland within the last thirty years. However it is well located on a W facing slope and there is a more distinct edge on the uphill E side.
