Description
Remains of an earthbank, 30m long x 1.5m wide x 0.4-0.8m high, eroded and worn by sheep tracks on the SW side of Little Hangman. The bank is not shown on historic maps and is very overgrown. E end abuts the base of a steep natural scarp. Downhill, the bank runs approximately SW around the top of a steep break of slope above Wild Pear Beach.
There is also another possible bank which connects to this feature, but which veers W-NW before fading, but it could represent an attempt to enclose a large natural terrace on the slope to the N.
