Description
A room of uncertain function with apsidal end to north. The wall of apse survives to approximately 0.5 m and is capped with turf. Centre is laid to grass, with two truncated stone hypocaust pilae set towards the north end, however the extent of archaeology below the current ground level is unknown and the area is vulnerable to rabbit burrowing. [SNA62028]
This room was excavated in 2015 SNA66905. A room with floor once at the level of Room 21 above a hypocaust of stone pilae as Room 26. It overlay the remains of 2nd century bath house with walls thinner and burnt.
