Description
This small rectangular room in the west wing is interpreted as the hot room of the villa's bath-house. It has no surviving floor, but contains ceramic tile hypocaust pilae. To the north is an arched furnace entrance to Room 16 and at the base of the west wall there is a flue leading to hot bath Room 13. First excavated in 1864, limited excavations and the reconstruction of some pilae and the furnace flue arch were undertaken by Richmond in 1958. [SNA62028]
