Monument Types

  • BANK (EARTHWORK) (Iron Age - 800 BC to 42 AD)

Description

A low mound up to 5m wide, 80cm high and 25m long crosses the north-central part of the enclosure from 31653 to the field wall in the north. There is a linear hollow on either side of this. It appears to be natural but is not locally paralleled and just might be an abraided earthwork. If so, then it is clearly overlaid by the trackway 31652 to the S.
