Summary

Two semi-circular terraces cut into the S-facing slope of the 'annexe' of hillfort, adjacent to "The Mound." Partly excavated by SC Stanford; no evidence for any structures were recovered and instead the terraces were interpreted as quarries for the construction of the Mound.

Description

Two semi-circular terraces cut into the S-facing slope of the 'annexe' of hillfort, adjacent to "The Mound." Partly excavated by SC Stanford; no evidence for structures recovered and these interpreted as quarries for the construction of the Mound and other activities. [1]
