Description
The probable barrow lies towards the end of the east-west ridge sloping down from the Beacon and on the north side of the current footpath (it is slightly cut by the path). It is 15 metres wide by 0.5 metres high and somewhat indistinct.It is on an approximate alignment with the barrows at Gallows Hill, the E entrance to Ivinghoe Beacon and the barrow at the high point within Ivinghoe Beacon (151501, 151503 and 151504).
This mound was spotted by A.Wainwright [1], who felt that it may have been ploughed in the past.
This barrow is part of the grouping of barrows in the Ivinghoe Beacon area. Further references and barrow descriptions can be found by referring to NTSMR151501.
