Description
The remains of two sluices are visible in the little stream that is undergrounded until it emerges on the west side of the bank and hedge stretching south from the silage clamp (Brandish Street Farm).The latter is immediately southwest of Holnicote House Garden. The sluices are in poor condition but are recognizable, and were used to direct water across the meadow to the west of them. The remains of the runnels can be seen in the grass (site 115623). The stream runs into the River Aller at the south end of the field (O.S.no. 7637). Condition: poor. [NGR: SS 9077 4616, SS 9082 4619]. [1]
