Description
The sea wall [SS SS 8878 4808, SS 8922 4837] is built along the top of the land immediately behind the pebble ridge. It runs from the west where it is kinked in a ‘Z’ shape, then almost due east towards the limekiln. The pill box (115410) interrupts it. Near the limekiln (115233) the wall veers slightly in to the land, and from then on it is very overgrown by brambles, its course and condition are very difficult to follow. It finishes near the tip (115301). The construction is varied and suggests either different periods of build or different stone masons, or both. Condition: fair. [1]
